Frédéric de Lamotte is an INRAE researcher based in Montpellier. After earning a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Paris-Orsay University and completing a postdoc at the University of Geneva, he joined INRA in 1992. He became interested in the relationships between protein structure and function, which gradually led him toward molecular modeling and bioinformatics. With the deluge of data generated by -omics projects, he has turned his attention to the management and analysis of large-scale, heterogeneous datasets. He serves as the Data Steward for INRAE’s Department of Biology and Plant Breeding and as the Chief Data Officer ofthe French Institute of Bioinformatics(IFB). He is participating in the major MUDIS4LS project led by the IFB and leads the work package on data flow orchestration. He created the FAIR-DATA training program led by the IFB. Frédéric is also a member of COSO (Committee for Open Science) – “Research Data” Colleges.

Francesca FRONTINI
After completing her dissertation in Corpus Linguistics, Francesca Frontini joined the Institute of Computational Linguistics at the CNR in Pisa (Italy), where she specialized in the field of language resources and technologies while working on several European projects. In 2014–2015, she received the “Fernand Braudel” fellowship from the MSH in Paris and spent nine months at Labex OBVIL, developing projects at the intersection of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Digital Humanities. Upon her return to Pisa, she helped establish the Italian national consortium for the CLARIN infrastructure, dedicated to linguistic resources, where she represents Italy on the committee of centers. Since 2016, she has been an associate professor of Computational Linguistics at Paul-Valéry University in Montpellier and a member of the Praxiling Laboratory, a CLARIN ambassador, and a member of the CLARIN France steering committee, in collaboration with TGIR Huma-Num. Among her current projects are the Nénufar project, the REDEN digital edition annotation tool, and the MeDo project. Her research interests focus in particular on the practices of creating, annotating, standardizing, documenting, and preserving linguistic data. She is a member of the steering committee for the MSH CommonData program.
Kamel GADOUCHE
Senior Administrator atINSEE, Director of the Center for Secure Data Access (CASD). A graduate of ENSAE (CGSA), Kamel Gadouche began his career at INSEE in the fields of statistics and information technology. He subsequently joined the Group of National Schools of Economics and Statistics in 2006 to head the IT department. He teaches courses in information security, object-oriented programming, and conceptual information modeling. In recent years, Kamel Gadouche has led a project to establish the Center for Secure Data Access (CASD), of which he is now the director.

Célya GRUSON-DANIEL
Associate Researcher at (Costech/UTC). She holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences (STS/SIC) and specializes in issues related to open access, open science, and digital commons in higher education and research. She is currently a consultant at Inno^3, a consulting firm specializing in open innovation, open data, and open source. At the firm, she is responsible for developing open action research projects aimed at supporting the implementation of sustainable open models within public and private organizations.
Laure LEFRANCOIS
Determined to serve the government, Laure Lefrançois began her career as a curator at the National Library of France as a department head responsible for implementing digital services for the public, particularly faculty and researchers. She then worked at the Ministry of Defense, where she established the department dedicated to libraries and oversaw the implementation of a shared catalog. Upon joining the University of Montpellier in 2014, she became Head of the Science and Technology Division of the Joint Documentation Service (SCD) and was appointed “Research Support” Project Manager for the SCD. In this role, she notably coordinated—in collaboration with the Office of Research and Doctoral Studies—the 2017 launch of the University of Montpellier’s HAL portal and the establishment of a dedicated support team responsible for cataloging references and depositing the full text of publications, as well as for coordinating a network of liaisons within the laboratories. She is now working to expand the support services offered to researchers, primarily in the area of research data management.

Claire Nédellec is a research director atINRAE (National Institute for Research in Agriculture, Food, and the Environment). She specializes in the semantic extraction of information from documents. She leads the Bibliome research team, which specializes in developing new tools and platforms for scientists, as well as evaluating and disseminating them. She coordinates and participates in numerous institutional projects and conferences in this field.
Agnès ROBIN
Agnès Robin is an Associate Professor of Private Law, authorized to supervise research, at the University of Montpellier. As Director of the Innovation, Communication, and Market Laboratory (LICeM), she has also directed the Master’s program in “Intellectual Property and Digital Law” at the Montpellier Faculty of Law and Political Science since 1989, as well as the “Scientific Data Steward” certificate program and the “Digital Health: Law, Data & AI” certificate program (ESNbyUM). A recipient of the Montpellier Faculty of Law and Political Science Award and the Varenne Foundation Award, she is the author of several books: *Intellectual Co-ownership* ( Varenne Foundation); *Intellectual Property and Common Law* (ed.), PUAM, 2007; *The Law of Research and Innovation in France. Economic and Legal Analysis ( ed.), Larcier, 2010; Introduction to Intellectual Property: Unity and Diversity (with S. Chatry), Larcier, 2026, 6th ed.; Shared Intellectual Property (ed.), Dalloz, 2020; The Law of Research Data: Open Science, Innovation, Public Data, Larcier, 2022. Her scholarly work focuses on three areas: 1) Intellectual Property Law; 2) Research and Innovation Law; 3° Digital law. She has published numerous articles and given lectures on topics related to open public data, scientific integrity, the commercialization of scientific research, open science, shared intellectual property, etc. She participates in various collaborative research projects related to these themes (e.g., Institut de convergences #DigitAg, OACS, ConsentChain, Siamois, etc.) and leads the interdisciplinary research project CommonData (“Research Data: Scientific Commons?”), a platform of MSH SUD. She holds editorial responsibilities at the journal *Cahiers Droit, Sciences et Technologies* (OpenEdition/PUAM), as well as at the journal *Intelligibilité du numérique* (Numerev). Following an assignment from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, she created the JurisDoR website—a legal resource center on research data law—for Recherche Data Gouv, for which she received the 2026 Innovation Award from the University of Montpellier’s University Innovation Hub.
Olivier ROUCHON
With a degree in Computer Engineering, Olivier Rouchon served successively as an IT project manager at Dell and as a research engineer at CINES (National Computer Center for Higher Education), where he served as head of the Archiving and Distribution Department and later as head of the High-Performance Computing Department. After returning to coordinate CINES’s long-term preservation and access service for electronic documents, he joined the DDOR-CNRS (Directorate for Open Research Data) to serve as Head of Scientific Data. In addition to these activities, he helps lead the PIN (Preservation of Digital Information) working group within the Aristote association, has authored articles on the preservation of digital objects for various journals, and serves on the Scientific Council of TGIR Huma-Num.
Jérémie VALENTIN
Jérémie Valentin, who holds a Ph.D. in geography and serves as the open data project manager for Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, leads the initiative to make public data available (open data), which is now a fully integrated part of the Montpellier region’s Smart City policy.
